The Tenements of Ravenvale are a large, sturdy complex of apartment-style dwellings that provide housing for many of the settlement's residents. They serve those who do not own farmland, laborers employed by local businesses, craftsmen just starting their trades, and travelers who have chosen to settle permanently within the town.

While many citizens reside in cottages and homes scattered throughout the western portion of Ravenvale, the tenements remain the heart of the settlement's working population. Their halls are rarely quiet, filled with the sounds of families, tradesfolk, and laborers going about their daily lives. The majority of Ravenvale's farmers live beyond the settlement's boundaries on small homesteads and agricultural plots.

Each week they travel into town with wagons laden with produce, livestock, textiles, and crafted goods to sell or trade in the bustling market square. As a result, the tenements are largely occupied by those whose livelihoods depend upon being close to the town's workshops, stores, warehouses, and administrative offices. This creates a lively and diverse community where people from many walks of life live side by side.

Unlike most residential properties in neighboring settlements, the tenements are owned entirely by the Ravenvale government rather than by private landlords. Rent collected from the residents is paid directly to the administration of Lord Mayor Tallos Witherspoon and is used to support the continued growth and prosperity of the town. These funds help maintain public buildings, repair roads and bridges, provide equipment and wages for the local guard, and finance numerous civic projects that benefit the community as a whole.

Weekly rent begins at ten silver pieces, though the exact amount varies depending upon a resident's profession and income. Those who earn more are expected to contribute a greater share toward the welfare of the settlement, a policy that ensures the burden of upkeep is distributed fairly among the populace. Adventurers, merchants, and other prosperous individuals often find themselves paying considerably higher rates than laborers or apprentices.

Overseeing the collection and administration of these funds is Marita Olven, a kindly and well-respected woman who operates a nearby office during daylight hours. Known for her patience and fairness, Marita serves as the first point of contact for tenants, handling everything from rent payments to housing assignments and resident concerns.
