Esker The Cataclysm & The War of the Lance The current year for our Dragonlance campaign is set during 351 AC "After Cataclysm". Inspired By Trampas Whiteman

Esker is a small town in Abanasinia that is isolated from the other settled areas of the region. The tiny settlement is nestled in the northern section of the Kharolis Mountains, north-west of Haven. Ruled by a mayor, Jannis Stint and the inhabitants of Esker have some minor trade with the city of Haven, but mostly live a quiet existence in their remote home.

This tiny human settlement lies just west of Qualinesti and north of the city of Haven. The folk here make a meager living by foodstuffs and animal pelts with outside towns and villages. It maintains a standing population of approximately 120 citizens year round. The population does not fluctuate from season to season much, the warmer months might increase the population somewhat due to kinfolk visiting and such. The settlement sees a small amount of traffic from travelers who usually stop at the local inn but shortly after are moving on, and is used more as a crossroads than anything else.

The settlement is governed by Lord Mayor Jannis Stint. The settlement has no real standing miltia, only a few locals "former adventurers" that casually keep watch over the settlement, but Esker has seen no trouble in a very long time. Their are a few shops and stores located here as well as the Black Lodge Inn "which serves some of the finest food in the region". Farming and hunting are the primary source of income for Esker although the location does have a small smithy which sometimes trades with outside settlements.
