General Store
The Cataclysm & The War of the Lance
The current year for our Dragonlance campaign is set during 351 AC "After Cataclysm".
Inspired By Trampas Whiteman

The general store of Digfell is one of the few places in town where travelers and locals regularly cross paths. Though only medium-sized, the shop manages to stock a surprising variety of everyday goods, from rope, lanterns, and hunting supplies to simple clothing, cookware, preserved foods, and other necessities. Its shelves are often crowded with practical items gathered through trade with neighboring settlements and the occasional merchant caravan that passes through the region.

While the store offers nearly anything a person might reasonably expect to find in a remote village, those seeking rare or unusual goods should temper their expectations. Mara Wescott is willing to place special orders when possible, though such requests often take weeks or even months to fulfill. Even then, unusual merchandise has a habit of arriving damaged, poorly crafted, or not quite matching what was originally promised.

Unlike the grand markets of larger cities, Digfell's general store carries no magical items whatsoever. The villagers neither trade in enchanted goods nor actively seek them out. Most customers are hunters, fishermen, woodsmen, and travelers preparing for journeys through the rugged lands surrounding the settlement. Practicality is valued far more than luxury, and the store's inventory reflects that philosophy.

The business is owned and operated by Mara Wescott, one of Digfell's respected elders and a lifelong resident of the village. Having spent her entire life among its people, Mara knows nearly every family by name and often serves as a source of local news, advice, and wisdom. Though advancing age has slowed her step somewhat, her sharp mind and keen eye for business remain unchanged, making her store an important gathering place within the close-knit community.
